Calvinism, Revelation, and the Seven Spirits: A Personal Testimony

Raised “Dutch” of Christian parents who sacrificed for Lansing Christian grade school; Illiana Christian high school; one year of Calvin (Christian) College in Grand Rapids, Michigan, Gordon VanDerNoord thought he was right with God by virtue of upbringing and education. Not knowing that he needed a personal relationship with Christ Jesus by believing in His resurrection and by calling on His name, and having been quite content with his diploma from Purdue University, lovely wife, two handsome boys, his own designed and built home, being secretary/treasurer of the family building business, he found himself empty and unfulfilled as well as a slave to bad habits picked up as a military policeman. With the added responsibility of his reformed Lansing Youth group, he cried out to God, “God if you're real and not dead: Be real to me, because I'm tired of being a hypocrite!!”

God did hear my prayer (Matt. 11:28-30) and through people and tracts, I found myself hungry to know the book of Revelation, as at 28 years of age I had never heard the word “rapture”. This created in me a hunger and thirst for the truth!! The Lord (now within) led us to a group of believers who, along with Witness Lee, call on the Lord out of a pure heart and with which we identified ourselves and were baptized into the Triune God, Christ Himself, the Body of Christ (the Church) and the resurrection of Christ, to be raised up in newness of life. (2 Tim. 2:22; Matt. 28:19; Gal. 3:27; 1 Cor. 12:13) Now I can take Him by His precious shed blood in a personal and corporate way DAILY!! Today, the Lord to me is the Seven Spirits of God to supply, to sanctify, to renew, to transform to conform, and eventually to glorify me so that I can represent Him and express Him on the earth today with the other believers as the church in the city where I live (John 6:35; 1 Corinthians 1:30; Romans 12:2; 2 Corinthians 3:18; Romans 8:29,30; Ephesians 1:22-23). I want to be an overcomer to prepare the bride of Christ, which is His army in Revelation 19 and to enjoy ruling and reiging with Him for a thousand years to come. Ultimately, I, with all born-again believers as overcomers according to His will, intention, and purpose, will live together as the NEW JERUSALEM! Forever! Hallelujah! (Rev. 21:2, 10) What a marvelous work of the seven-Spirits to gain a little `Dutch boy'! Praise Him!
